In 1955, Victor Cigainero Jr. (Vic) was employed with Falstaff Beer Company when his uncle Leon Kuhn suggested he open a burglar alarm company. Leon thought this would be good business since there were no alarm companies in Texarkana, and he would help Vic get it started. Vic took his advice. He worked at Falstaff during the day and installed alarms to establish his new business on nights and weekends.
Originally, Vic named the company Ace Burglar Alarm Systems, but later he was informed there was already a copyright for the name Ace. Vic then took his pen and added a "Y" to all his business cards because he couldn't afford to buy new ones. He then came up with the slogan "Sleep in Peace with Acey." As years passed, and Texarkana continued to grow, Acey became a full time business, expanding service to residential security and fire alarm systems.
Victor T. Cigainero lll (Tommy) began working for his father as a teenager. In 1984, Vic retired and handed over the business to Tommy. The company continues to be family-owned and operated by the Cigainero family. Tommy says what sets Acey apart from the "here today gone tomorrow" companies is they have provided the highest quality of service for over the years with experienced technicians.
Sixty-three years in business is a milestone that represents the type of strength and stability few companies in the security industry or the general business community ever achieve. Acey would like to extend their deepest gratitude to clients, referral sources and friends. We look forward to our family protecting yours for many more years to come.
