Acey Customer Additional Services for Security
System Communication Options -
Your security system has a communications link between the control panel and Acey's
Central Monitoring Station in order to send alarm, trouble and status signals. It is important
for you to address this issue based on your security needs. Acey offers 3 types of
communication options to cover basic applications all the way up to high security grade AA
applications.
- Digital Communicator -
This option is the most basic of communication options. It is included with all monitored
security systems. This option uses your existing telephone line to communicate signals
Acey's Central Station. This type of communication is not supervised. Which means if your
phone line is cut or fails for any reason your signals will not reach the Central Station. Also
you are not guaranteed to be notified of this trouble condition.
- Cellular Monitoring -
Cellular Monitoring is designed to act as a backup option to your standard digital
communicator or can be used as your primary means of communication. It uses the cellular
network to communicate signals to Acey's Central Station. Even if your phone line is cut or
fails your signals will still reach the Central Station. This type of communication is supervised
by sending monthly test signals. You will be notified if your Cellular Monitoring fails to check
in.
- Internet Monitoring -
Internet Monitoring is designed to act as a backup option to your standard digital
communicator or can be used as your primary means of communication. It uses your
existing broadband Internet connection to transmit signals to Acey's Central Station. This
type of communication is supervised by sending up to 5 minute test signals. You will be
notified if your Internet Monitoring fails to check in.
